The Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie provides an ideal platform for the comprehensive exchange of information between planners, operators, investors, industry, politics, and science. Since its premiere in 2013—originally as the Praxisforum Geothermie Bayern —the event has established itself as one of the leading industry gatherings in the German-speaking world with its independent program design.
The main aim of the Praxisforum is to actively support the ramp-up of deep geothermal energy in Germany and to promote the practical transfer of knowledge between all stakeholders. Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie zeichnet Unterhaching und Dürrnhaar für ihre Gesamtleistung im Betriebsjahr 2025 mit dem „Geothermischen Energiepreis“ aus. Den Ehrenpreis des Praxisforums erhält Dr. Ulrich Pahlke für seinen beispielhaften Einsatz für die Tiefengeothermie. Als Nachwuchswissenschaftlerin wurde Valerie Ernst von der TU München prämiert.

Erstmals bundesweite Marktanalyse des Praxisforums: Preistrend für Fernwärme aus Tiefengeothermie rund 16 Prozent günstiger als der Bundesschnitt – Preise für 2026/27 fast unverändert, während Heizöl und Pellets deutlich teurer werden.

Das aktuelle Programm des Praxisforum Tiefengeothermie, das vom 14.-16. Oktober 2026 im Bürgerhaus in Pullach stattfindet, ist veröffentlicht. Drei spannende Tage mit Workshops, verschiedenen Foren und einer Abschlussexkursion stehen auf dem Programm.

In Potsdam haben die Bohrarbeiten für eine zweite Tiefengeothermie-Anlage begonnen. Die Energie und Wasser Potsdam GmbH (EWP) und das GFZ-Helmholtz-Zentrum für Geoforschung starteten gemeinsam mit weiteren Partnern am 13. Juli die Bohrarbeiten am Heizkraftwerk Süd. Bis 2027 sollen mehrere Bohrungen abgeteuft werden.
